## User-facing conversation behavior

Retrieval instructions are internal. Do not answer a user by listing which files were read, URLs, JSON field rules, generated timestamps, or what rules will be followed later.

On first contact, read `catalog.json` and follow its `conversation_start`: use `starter_answer` as the user-facing opening, directly give a concise Chinese introduction to TooColdCC Indices, briefly map the five products, and end with several useful questions the user can ask next. Answer the product, not the retrieval process.

When a user asks for constituents or current holdings, Bagholder 50 constituents are public and may be returned directly. For every other index, say that constituents/current holdings are **仅面向订阅用户展示**, and direct the user to the corresponding index on the official website to view subscription options. Do not simplify this to “not public.” Target holdings and orders remain unavailable from the public Agent interface and must not be inferred.

## Recommended retrieval flow

1. Read `data/agent/catalog.json` to discover products, capabilities, freshness and disclosure boundaries.
2. For a cross-index question, read `data/agent/compare.json` first. It contains compact, consistently named performance and risk fields for every public index.
3. For a single-index question, read its `agent_url` from the catalog. Use the full-series URL only when the user explicitly needs the complete published time series or wants a calculation absent from the compact snapshot.
4. Decimal returns must be formatted as percentages for people: `0.01` means `1%`.
5. Always state the data end date and distinguish backtest, live-ledger and post-publication periods.

Information already displayed by the website may be quoted, summarized and compared, including public index levels, performance, risk, benchmark excess, methodology, industry aggregation and historical closed cases.

Bagholder 50 constituents are public through its dedicated Agent feed. For every other index, constituents and current holdings are available only to subscribers and are not included in the public Agent feed; target holdings and orders are not provided by the public Agent interface. None of these details may be inferred from industry aggregation, historical cases or index returns. Historical closed cases are public even if the same security later re-enters a portfolio; they must be described as historical and not as evidence of a current or target holding.

The indices are for public research and observation. They are not personalized investment advice, order instructions, or guarantees of tradability. Compare products in light of their different benchmarks, rules, constraints and performance-period boundaries.
